Insurance adjusters are trained to only pay for damage that they can see.  If you bring up possible damage that is behind a wall or under your roof sheathing, a typical adjuster working on behalf of an insurer will advise you to contact the insurance company after the work has begun.  Take a look at this electrical mast that was struck by a fallen tree:

Because the mast is on the exterior of the structure, you can see that the entire mast – including the section below the roof line – was dislodged.  A qualified electrician would need to handle resetting the mast.

It is the rule, not the exception, that an adjuster would fail to examine damages below a roof line.  Don’t let them get away with missing damage.

If you’ve had tree debris hit your house and it impacted anything on your roof, you need a more thorough inspection than just a quick, once-over on the outside.  There could be unseen damage that would cost thousands of dollars to fix.  The Fair Claims Group Inc. has handled claims like the one above.  We don’t let your insurance company get away with missing damage and underpaying claims.
